Dodecyl dimethyl betaine is a chemical substance that is a colorless or light yellow transparent liquid with a relative density (20 ℃) of 1.03. It is a zwitterionic surfactant that is cationic in acidic media and anionic in alkaline media. It can be compatible with various types of dyes, surfactants, and cosmetic raw materials, stable to sodium hypochlorite, and should not be heated for a long time above 100 ℃. It has excellent stability and good compatibility under both acidic and alkaline conditions. Low skin irritation, good biodegradability, excellent stain removal and sterilization, softness, antistatic, hard water resistance, and rust prevention.

Personal care products: it is used to prepare shampoo, foam baths, sensitive skin preparations, children’s cleansers, etc., which can make hair soft. It is suitable for making nonirritating shampoo that can regulate hair.
Industrial application: used as fiber, fabric softener and antistatic agent, calcium soap dispersant, disinfectant detergent, gel emulsifier in the rubber industry, rabbit wool fleece shrinking agent, fire extinguishing foam agent, etc. In addition, it can also be used in the preparation of pesticides as a synergist for the pesticide glyphosate.
